Larry and Lori Merritt

Larry and Lori are our local Sandy residents.  They have been members of the VFW and,he, and inspirational driver at the Woodburn Drag Strip. They have been loved by many.  In recent months, they both have had medical issues.  Neither went to the doctor regularly until an event in October. Lori had a heart attack in late October.  She was recovering well, but in November, encouraged Larry to visit the doctor.  He had bad heartburn and began losing weight.    After many tests, it turned out that Larry had metastic cancer throughout his body.   He had many, many setbacks.  The last 2.5 months has been a whirl-wind!  I can't recount it all. What I know today is that Larry and Lori are loved by so many.  The emotional support they have recieved is overwhelming.  

Unfortunately, Larry lost his battle on Saturday, 1/27/18.  His family is devastated.   More unfortunately, he did not have life insurance. The support Lori has received is amazing.....you know who you are...but Tthis page is created to help get her through the next couple months to help with some of the medical bills that have stacked up and the services for Larry.
