To Mr Jolly and team,
Thank you, for giving me this great laptop to help with my education it means a lot and I will cherish it until I graduate school.
Kind Regards
Jade Russell

Jade
and Montana have received scholarships to attend Loreto College from The Smith Family as part of the Indigenous Youth Leadership Program , but their scholarship does not include a laptop. They are using computers cobbled together by the school's IT department and it is putting them at significant disadvantage!

I want provide them each with a MacBook Air 13" and help them realise their potential as students and leaders in their community.

Jade Russell, Year 8, commenced at Loreto College in 2020.
"My favourite subject is science and I really enjoyed learning about atoms and protons last term. I am looking forward to specialising in Chemistry in Year 11. I like learning at the Loreto STEM centre as it makes learning really interesting."

Montana Scott, Year 10, commenced at Loreto College in 2020.
"I enjoy science and mathematics and I am interested in pursuing a career in science. I am looking forward to specialising in biology and have enjoyed learning about DNA this term. I achieved 91% in the quiz about DNA Replication and Cell Division."

Ms Rachel Hentschke, Director of Boarding:

"I care for Jade in the Boarding House and she has proven herself to be a conscientious learner and positive role model to her peers. Jade is a natural leader and she was awarded Boarder Representative for years 7-9. I would like to see Jade able to complete her work with technology that is reliable and current. Her current laptop is proving challenging to use and is placing Jade at significant disadvantage to her peers."

"I care for Montana in the Boarding House and she is a diligent student who works hard. Montana is a quiet achiever who never complains, however her current laptop is inadequate to keep up with the demands of her study and she has often had to use the Boarding House computers when hers hasn’t worked. It is difficult for Montana to complete tasks in class due to features such as camera and microphone not working on her laptop."

Computer Details: Macbook Air 13", i5 processor, 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD, AppleCare, USB-C to USB Adaptor: A$1,841.00

(The school will provide MS Office and other software)
