Replace PTs stolen Laptop

On July 4th 2017, someone exercised their personal freedoms and walked off with PTs laptop whilst he and the rest of Blacker Face were setting up for a show. The rest of the members of Blacker Face, myself included, were present and can attest to this misfortune, that is to say, it sucked and really wasn’t his fault; his laptop was in a bag with the band merch we had been crafting that day and it was left unattended for a spell while we were loading in our gear.
Life goes on. PT, being the amazing creature that he is, in no way needs a computer to enjoy life, help others, and make art. But the crux of the matter, and the reason for this crowd fund, is that PT is one of those rare humans that deserves a computer. His unrelenting curiosity and tenacity begs for it. What’s more, he has spent his adult life learning skills that use computers and in order to continue pursuing these crafts, he shoudl have a computer. Here is a short list of what PT uses the comp for: synthesizing sounds with Supercollider, programming, editing, mixing, producing music with DAWS, coding websites from scratch, graphic designing album covers and band merchandise, programming visuals to live music, digitally scoring compositions, researching, writing, and editing for local Chicago music zine The Sick Muse, researching politics and current events obsessively, researching his favorite apocryphal stories and conspiracy theories, maintaining the business operations of Blacker Face with various google docs, and the list could go on…
As it is, PT cannot afford a new computer. He also would never ask people for money to buy a new one, so I have started this campaign and I am asking ya’ll to donate what you can. Think of it as an investment, because if you know PT, then you know the money you give now will come back to you at some point, in the form of the music PT makes, the stories he tells, the twinkles in his eyes, etc.
