We are living in uncertain times with the Coronavirus Covid 19. It has consumed all of our energy and created so much anxiety, especially in those who already struggling with mental health issues particularly in young people.
At Laochas The Warrior Soul Project we provide not only school workshops but one to one sessions for young people withqualified Counselor's and Creative Art Therapists, currently our existing young people are in touch with the therapists over the phone but will need their one to ones asap when we go back, along with the new young people presenting since Covid 19.
We expect to see a lot more children & do more school workshops in the coming months, however as Laochas The Warrior Soul Project don’t receive any funding along with the fact that all fundraisers and collections are cancelled for the foreseeable we have no funds coming in, with whatever we have in the pot there to cover standing costs we won't be able to build up funds for the counselling & workshops when it starts back up after the CV 19.
We are all very aware of the lack of adequate funding for Mental Health services as it is in our country and fear this will only be worse after the enormous costs the pandemic has put on our healthcare system. But people will still need help, young people will now more than ever need our help.
So we would like to appeal to people to help us, €2000 will cover 40 hours of one to one session when we get back after coronavirus. This will allow us time to re build our funds and ensure that we never have to turn a child away. Thanks you so much & stay safe x
