Lansdale Family Fire Recovery Fund

The bear fire rapidly tore through Berry Creek. My mother, sister, baby niece, and I were only able to leave with our dogs and the clothes on our backs. My father made the tough decision to leave our home to release our horse, and get out of harm’s way. He began his journey down the hill in the only running vehicle he had with no headlights, and no tail lights. He was stopped at the checkpoint where he had to park his truck and wait for my mother to get him and our 4 dogs. After sharing a post about our missing horse and a lot of praying our horse was saved, and for that we are thankful. However, our home was lost and we are unsure of our other farm animals. My parents’ livelihoods were in those animals, and the land we raised them on. My father spent years providing for our family and farm he would work tirelessly day in and day out. Even after breaking his back in an accident, it did not stop him from working hard and providing for his family. He put his time and effort into raising chickens, and had been awarded several trophies for having such well-raised, well-bred livestock. It was one of the few thing he could do after breaking his back. Any assistance through your generosity will go to rebuilding what my family has lost, if not to just to get their lives back on track.
