Lanier Voks FCA Camp

My name is Steven Cruz and I am a coach at San Antonio Lanier HS. I am the head wrestling coach, an assistant varsity football coach, and I teach 12th grade Math. Two years ago I began an FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) huddle at Lanier. I had no prior experience with FCA, but I knew that it was a program that could greatly impact the lives of our student athletes. Last year, through FCA, I was able to take 4 student athletes to the summer sports camp at Texas A&M. It was an incredible experience. For 4 days they were coached hard on the field and led in Bible studies by some of the best high school coaches in the state. They hung out in small groups led by Division 1 football players who are invested into their own universities’ FCA. In the evenings, they attended a nightly church service with all the campers. All in all, they had an incredible, life changing experience.

This summer, we are planning to go back. My hope is, with some financial assistance, we are able to take even more student athletes this summer. Please consider any amount of donation, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
