Lands End to John O'Groats Cycle
Tax deductible
On 07th to 15th September 2019 I am cycling Lands End to John O'Groats, 980 miles over 9 days.

I am raising money to generate awareness & funds for the charity CALM in memory of my friend Andy Sheriff who took his own life on 24th March 2018.
The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK.

Since 2015 I have become a very keen cyclist & I am often out on the roads at the weekend with the other middle aged 'Lycra Louts' helping to irritate the drivers on the road....... :)
I have cycled 1000's miles since 2015. This began with a goal of cycling coast to coast over three days to eventually ending up here talking about doing something I always felt was out of my reach & probably out of my years (46).
Cycling has not only been a positive impact on my physical health but has also helped me battle depression in my own way so I feel I owe it a lot.
I wish I had taken more time to speak with Andy when I last saw him in our local, something I may have said innocuously or unknowingly may have made him think about staying 1 more day & maybe in that 1 more day something else would have made him want to stay another day etc. I will never know & I am sure many of his other friends may feel the same.
This is my way of giving something back to Andy & his family by taking his memory with me on this exciting/challenging/difficult cycling adventure.
If you have read this far then thank you, if you feel strongly enough to leave a donation then thank you even more.
