Landree's Fight w/ Guillain-Barre

A talented artist and single mom to a energetic 4 year-old, Landree has been faced with the hardest fight of her life. After having an emergency surgery to remove her gallbladder three weeks ago, she continued to feel ill immediately following the surgery. Not able to recover and after numerous trips to the doctor’s office and three different hospitals, she was officially diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome, an extremely rare disorder where the body's immune system attacks its nerves. The damage to the nerves causes weakness and paralysis, making it difficult for her to use her hands and walk without assistance from a walker.
The road to recovery is expected to be long and hard, as she will be transferred to an acute rehabilitation center for 24/7 care after being discharged from the hospital, with typical recovery times being six months to a year.
As one can only imagine, the life of a single mom is long and hard, let alone when being faced with immense pain and loss of function to perform normal day-to-day activities. Having to be in another town 2+ hours away from her son and family, she is determined to push through and regain her strength in rehab but could use the assistance from others to help financially support herself and son during this difficult recovery.
As many of you know, she’s not one to ask for help but being faced with numerous medical bills and unable to work during her rehabilitation process, any donation would be greatly appreciated to help her physically and emotionally get back on her feet to make as much of a full recovery as possible.
She is a fighter and we are certain she is going to come through the other side stronger and more determined than ever. We thank you for all of your support to get this mom and son together and back to normalcy.
