Lance Goodwin Cancer Journey

For anyone who knows Lance Goodwin, you know he is the most genuine, kind-hearted, incredibly giving individual out there.  Living out on the Haines road and working at Icefield Discoveries on Kluane Lake has given him the opportunity to meet a wide range of individuals, from students to professionals in various fields of work. Lance is a very humble man with very little needs in life....as long as he is outdoors....and he has his camera to capture the special moments in life, he is happy.  A few weeks ago he stopped at the nursing station in the junction because a lingering cough just didn't seem to go away. Some x-rays that were taken discovered a mass in his lungs that didn't seem good. From there, and after numerous tests and blood work both in Whitehorse and now in Vancouver, it is with a heavy heart to share that Lance has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The doctors in Vancouver can't recommend a treatment plan right away because his bile duct is clogged and his liver is unfortunately unable to filter any toxins out from his body.  He is suffering from jaundice and pains throughout his body. He will be transferred to the Cancer Clinic in Vancouver March 5th, but it may happen that treatment outside of British Columbia may be the best option for treatment. With that, travel costs, and treatment will not be subsidized and the amount for the treatment could potentially be exponential. I am starting this GoFundMe account as the only request of help I have received from Uncle Lance. Like I said, he is a very humble man, but he realizes that this journey battling cancer can't be done solo. I beg that anyone who has had the amazing opportunity to have crossed paths with Lance, please let's help him out in his time of need. Any amount of financial donation will help.
