Lalomalava Primary school

We are raising money for a small local Primary School in Lalomalava Village on the island of

Savai'i, Samoa. We are currently humbly reaching out for donations to help better provide our

students with a safe, healthy and enriching learning environment.

Our school consists of 210 students ranging from 5 to 14 years old and was built in 1986 and has

not been altered since it was first opened. We are in desperate need of funds to rebuild parts

of our school building due to damage that has

occurred over the years from aging, flooding and minor earthquakes. We are also in desperate need

of funding to renovate and expand our student

bathrooms as we have only 2 male and 2 female toilets in our school and with the increase in

students over the years these bathrooms have become inadequate for our student numbers,

 and they are also of poor plumbing so have

issues causing them to become unhygienic for use a lot of the time. We are also needing to

increase the number of classrooms for our students due to our school population increase

since being built and we hope to use funds

raised to renovate our run-down library and built a school hall as we do not have one.

Structural funding is not all that we are requiring to get our school updated and meeting the

educational needs of our students, we also need educational materials and furniture. We will be

using funds raised to provide more desks and

chairs so that we have enough for all students as currently we have quite a lot of students having to

sit on the floor during class and whilst doing their school studies in class. We will be investing a

portion of the funds into new texts books,

reading materials for the library and computers as our school is greatly lacking in this educational equipment.

Any donations no matter how small are greatly appreciated and will go directly to providing our students with the safe and positive learning environment they not only need but deserve.
