Lalo Barron's Cancer Battle

Due to some worsening back pain, Lalo was sent for a CT Scan of his Chest, Abdomen, and Pelvis on May 7, 2020. Unfortunately those scans showed that Lalo had a couple of cancerous lesions located in his lungs and a number of cancerous lesions in the spine. Those spinal lesions have been contributing to the back pain he was experiencing. Based on the original scans and repeat PET/CT scans and MRIs on May 27 and May 29, the doctors have diagnosed Lalo with Stage 4 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. As expected, this is a heavy hit to Lalo,  Teresa,  and the kids. The physicians are doing a good job balancing Lalo's pain and getting his back secured with a brace to increase his ability to continue his daily activities with a goal of going home from the hospital on June 8 or 9. Moving forward, Lalo's physicians will be combining some radiation to the effected areas for immediate relief followed by chemotherapy for more of a whole body approach. There are multiple treatments available pending Lalo's pathology results. These results will let the physicians know what the genetic make-up of the tumors are and help tailor a treatment specific for him. Lalo has an uncomfortable battle ahead of him and will need the support of this friends and family. Keep him and the family in your prayers. Thank you.
