Lainey's journey

On April 26, 2022, the Bayles family endured a life altering experience as they were unexpectantly attacked by a neighbor's dog. Bethany (mom), Lainey (4yo), and Wesley (2yo) were riding on a golf cart when the neighbor's dog suddenly ran out and began mauling Lainey. Bethany sustained injuries to her face as she tried to pull the dog off her daughter. Luckily, the youngest, Wesley, got away with only scratches. Lainey, however, was not as fortunate and the dog caused massive damage to both sides of her face. She was immediately rushed to surgery to close the wounds, but will be needing multiple surgeries in the future to attempt to repair the skin lost and damage done from the attack.

We started this page to assist the family in a time of crisis. The incident has requires Bethany to take a leave of absence from her job, leaving a family of 4 to get by on only the father's income. We are hoping to assist the family with the mounting medical bills from the incident, as well as to assist with the medical treatment that Lainey will need in the future as she has a long road to recovery.
