La Feminista Art Gallery
On International Women's Day, Tamara Torres is supplicating for your help to develop a long-lasting dream, a women's art gallery in Torres city Trenton, NJ. Not just any women's art gallery but one that will be a network of community space for all women, an art gallery focused on women artists of color, LGBTQ+, Latina, and attached is a feminist retail store.
La Feminsta Art Gallery will display art on the walls, specifically from women of color. It will connect with non-profits whose resources and agenda are for empowering all women and the community. With a community workspace, members will be able to hold meetings during scheduled hours.
Tamara Torres is a Latina feminist international artist and community activist based out of Trenton, N.J. Growing up in Trenton, Torres survived obstacles such as homelessness, abuse, and discrimination. Her artwork has taken up the cause of social justice for abused, disadvantage, and disenfranchised women around the globe. Torres' artwork has been exhibited in galleries located in London, Edinburgh, Rome, Milan, New York City, and throughout New Jersey. Torres' belief is, if she can change one person's thinking through her artwork, then she has done her job as an artist.
