I have spent a radical amount of time trying to come up with a career plan that would allow me the freedom to be at home with my 3 boys, while also being able to support them as a single mother. And at the early hour of 2 a.m., while I was nursing my one month old, it hit me...an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant!!
I have spent nearly a total of 5 years nursing my own children, and have always been a proud advocate of breastfeeding. So, why not make a career out of it?!
Although I will be committed to helping all women along their breastfeeding journey, my passion will be serving socially disadvantaged women. Not only along their journey of breastfeeding, but esepcially recruiting more women of color to become lactation consultants to serve their community.
