Support the Laborte Family

Hi, I'm Kelly, and I'm raising money for my sister-in-law and her family. Suzanne and Junior have been married for a few years and have two little ones - five years and ten months. I'm biased, but my nieces are adorable and so sweet. Aubrey was supposed to start kindergarten next week. She's super smart and was getting excited about it. Fia is always talking. I look forward to the day she says actual words. That kid will be so chatty!

Sadly, this family has lost so much in a matter of 24 hours. With the wildfires this week in Lahaina, they lost their home, and both their places of work are gone too. Junior worked at a local Kava bar and taught surf lessons. Suz managed the surf shop. The flames came up right behind their house, they grabbed the kids, a few items, and the dog and fled. They had to dodge rooftops that had blown off buildings, downed power lines, fallen trees, and fire to get to the other side of the island. So, we're doing this GoFundMe for them. All of their clothes, household items, school supplies, Fia's new car seat, and stroller as she's growing like crazy, etc., are gone. Anything that wasn't with them in the one car is gone.

We're looking to raise $30,000 to cover some rent when they can find a new place and to replace the items that can be replaced - furniture, clothing, food, etc. Suzanne and Junior are very connected to the Lahaina community, and anything raised over the goal will go back to support the community. They weren't the only ones who lost all their belongings and place to live. Their whole neighborhood is gone. Anything you can contribute will help.
