To our friends, neighbors and La Contenta Family,
On Monday, March 16th, we decided to temporarily close La Contenta (our Lower East Side location) and La Contenta Oeste (our West Village location), due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we had to lay off our entire staff.
We truly hope comprehensive government assistance packages are offered to the restaurant industry which has been decimated virtually overnight. It's the only way we're going to survive. However, the immediate need is for our vulnerable employees so that they can sustain their families until we are ready to reopen.
