John & Cynthia Smirco

Hello,

My name is Michael Smirco. I'm here to tell you that I'm the son of the greatest man and woman that I will ever know. They are my parents, John and Cynthia Smirco.

My father has been battling cancer for over a year. After going through so much in order to beat this awful disease, he is not healthy enough to continue treatments. His doctors said he doesn't have much time left. It brings tears to my eyes to see horrible things happen to such a great man. Everyday I hope and pray for a miracle. I only hope I can be half the man that my father is.

My mother is currently on leave from work in order to take care of my father. He has a difficult time doing the little things that you and I take for granted everyday, but my mother, who is a saint, will never leave his side. Thirty six years of marriage and the love they have for each other is very strong. My mother will not leave the house and it's very difficult to walk away for even a couple of minutes.

Even though bad things like this happen, bills still come in the mail, some becoming larger than others, and you still need the essentials to live. I know a lot of you go through tough times and I'm not asking you to break yourself with a donation. Please give whatever you can to try and ease some of the hardship that my parents are going through. Every donation will be greatly appreciated more than you know.
