Matt's melanoma no more
Donation protected
In June 2012, I discovered I had melanoma. I did not have insurance. I had 2 surgerys to remove infections on my head and on the sides of my neck. I acquired health insurance for the second procedure, which helped, but from the resulting loss of work and on going treatment, I have been struggling with a major debt, to the tune of about $40,000.
My family and workplace have been outstanding in their support of me, both in love and finance. I think I have the best support structure a a guy could ask for (better than I deserve, really)—and I think I they’ve done enough. The time has come to ask for help from elsewhere.
I am trying to negotiate a settlement with the hospital to pay off my bill. How much I can offer will depend on what I can raise. I am setting a goal of $20, 000.
I appreciate your support.
