My TopSurgery date is now less than a month away!!
I am currently working to fund my medical transition but I cannot do it alone.
I am having a double mastectomy on the 25th of July 2019 with Dr. Lubomir Lembas in Poland. I have known for 16+ months that he is the surgeon I want to do to after seeing his amazing results on fellow Irish transmen. I have been binding my chest for almost 3 years to cope with chest dysphoria, and having this surgery will allow me to breathe easy and move on with the rest of my life.
I have been quoted 13,000 PLN or roughly €3,035 to cover the cost of surgery under general anesthesia, 24hr stay in the hospital immediately after, as well as the necessary blood tests and consultaion with a further 185PLN (€44) for a breast ultrasound before surgery.
I have already managed to save €2,000 over 8 months working as a waiter and in the Gaeltacht.
And I still need €205 to cover accommodation and I'm budgeting €200 approximately for food for 2 for 17 days and any additional costs.
