Ronnie's Medical Fundraiser

This is Ronnie. One of the most down to earth, intelligent, easy-going, and compassionate guys I have ever met. He is a first year high school math teacher at San Marcos High School who also coaches volleyball and soccer. Whether it is dancing, volleyball, camping, late night bonfires, or playing guitar and singing, this man has to stay on his feet and is always on the go.
It wasn't until recently that he started becoming weak and there was a little road block in the way of the activities that he loved the most. He kept saying he didn't feel energetic and started loosing weight. He eventually ended up going to the hospital to make sure that he was okay and that all of his symptoms were normal. (I do remind you that he is a coach for volleyball and soccer so he's been working out a lot!)
When he arrived at the hospital, they ran a blood test and he was at that point rushed immediately to the ER. After spending a night in the emergency room, he stayed in the ICU for 3 days. What have come of this trip is something nobody had expected. Ronnie was diagnosed with Type I Diabeties and his pancreas had ended up failing. His pancreas was not creating insulin anymore and his body was no longer receiving the nutrients that it needed. The specialists told him that they are grateful that he had come in when he did because he was on the brink of dying.
I have created this fundraising campaign because Ronnie is a first year teacher and he has not yet obtained medical insurance. None of his hospital bills were covered and the medicine and insulin keeping him alive add up to over $600 a month while his hospital bill ended up being a little over $15,000.
My goal is to raise $1000 by Christmas and give it to him as a gift to help him out and to say thank you for always being there for me. Ronnie has endlessly been there for me in any time of need and I need a little help to be there for him. Anything is greatly appreciated and all I want to do is help him out and give him a wonderful Christmas that he deserves.
