This is the story of a 7 month old puppy who had a very rough start in life. Her name in Kyndal.
She was only 8 weeks old when I was told about this tiny puppy in the employee room at the SPCA who was going to be put down. She couldn't walk without falling or hold her head up and was laying in spilled water, urine and feces while waiting for her turn in the back room.
I pulled her out of the cage and kissed her tiny face, tears filled my eyes. I cleaned her up and gave her a clean blanket. Before leaving I went into the room where she lay all alone, picked her up and promised her that she would never be alone again! I told her that I would get her as much help as humanly possible and so far I have kept that promise. I brought her home with me and even with her disability, she was a happy girl. I was told she has cerebellar hypoplasia and began researching it so I could do everything possible to keep her healthy and happy and Kyndal lived life to the fullest until I had her spayed. She just wasn't the same after her surgery and that led to labs and tests and finally to the diagnosis of a lesion on her spine between her hips. She needs to see a neurologist. The consultation is only $130 but the CT Scan is $2000. How can I let her down when life has been so cruel to her in her short 7 months of life? She wears diapers , I hold her precious face to steady her head when she drinks. I love her to the moon and back. She's my little girl.
