This is the official GoFundMe for the Kylie Powe Memorial Scholarship Fund, created by her family.
On August 10, Kylie Powe passed away to be with God from a severe asthma attack. She was 15 years old and a rising junior at Nova High School in Davie, FL. We have been completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support that we have received and would like to create a scholarship fund in her honor.
Kylie was completely selfless, always putting others before herself. Her friends have described her as someone that would always advocate for the vulnerable through giving of her own time and love. Her family remains amazed at her unwavering dedication to being present and making everyone feel seen and loved. Every person that Kylie encountered can attest to her joyful spirit and commitment to making the world a better place. She wasn’t afraid to challenge the status quo by constantly considering others’ feelings and viewpoints. Kylie was truly one-of-a-kind and an angel on this Earth. Life will never be the same without her.
In hopes of continuing Kylie’s legacy, we are creating a scholarship fund for graduating seniors at Nova High School who embody a similar commitment to serving others and demonstrate resilience in the face of life’s obstacles. The number of scholarships we can provide will be determined by the amount we raise during this campaign.
We can’t thank you enough for your kind words, powerful prayers, and comforting love during this unimaginable loss. Any and all contributions to this fund are greatly appreciated and will make a difference in student(s) lives the way Kylie has affected so many in her brief time here.
We encourage everyone to live like Kylie, to love like Kylie, and to serve others like Kylie. This will be the greatest way we can keep her memory alive.
Donating via Venmo (@zoieepow), Cash App ($zoieepo), or Zelle (954-801-2573) is also an option and will lower the amount we need to pay GoFundMe for using their service. Please consider these options if you are able. We will update the amount raised on GoFundMe with offline donations in your name as well.
