The Alvarez Family

As Harvey pounded the city of Houston , I sat comfortably in my dry and safe apartment and slept through the night. I was not prepared for the text I recieved the following morning. It came from a dear friend and collegue of mine for over 10 years.  She stated she had to flee her home in the middle of the night with her husband, 2 daughters and the hampster!  They walked out with water up to their waste and just the clothes on their backs. As you can imagine, I feel helpless.  I have am so fortunate to have so many family and friends who have been uneffected by Harvey reaching out to me asking how they can help. Well I found the answer. This family has no house, clothing, cars etc. You get the point of the devastation.  Please instead of helping me, please help this family! Thank you , anyting helps when you have nothing.
