Save a young mans dream

Yuya is a close family friend of mine. My family was introduced to his family when I served in the military overseas. His father, like myself are both firefighters and worked together on Rescue for many years. Yuya came to live in America last year to increase his english skills so he can become a firefighter like his father Takuya. He attended an ESL here in North Dakota at the University of North Dakota, which enabled him to learn the english language to pursue his dream of becoming a Firefighter. He came back to America last week to start school in California where he is living with a host family. He bought a bicycle his second day here and 2 hours later it was stolen. On Monday his host families house was broken into where his money, passport and several other items were stolen. It is hard to say how great America is and explain the beauty of our country when all Yuya's experiences within the last week are making pursuing his life dreams and goals unobtainable. Without any additional financial support he may have to return to Japan for another year to work and not pursue his dreams.
