Dear Friends & Family,
We are starting this GoFundMe in honor of the family of Zachary Rockwell. Zachary was a dear brother, a great son, and a very best friend of many. For any of you that may not know, Zachary was murdered on Memorial Day, May 27, 2019 in Caldwell, Texas where he lived. As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly traumatic experience and will continue to be a long running battle for the family.
Zachary, was one of the most genuine and goodhearted guys you could meet. As utterly devastating as the past few days have been, since learning of the murder, Zachary’s family have drawn on the strength that only God can provide. The family has maintained a God given, supernatural strength and positive attitude through this incredibly trying time. All of us who really knew Zachary are all so moved by our memories of him, He wanted all of us to always remain strong no matter what, and his resilience has undoubtedly inspired many through this nightmare. He was only 36 years old. His life ended far too early.
Unfortunately, Zachary had no life insurance. And now the family must suffer through great financial hardships. They were unprepared for this financial burden. Zachary has three sisters and one brother. Two sisters are single mothers. 1 sister is raising 3 nieces and 1 nephew to Zachary. The other is raising two nephews. And the 3rd sister is the mother of one of Zachary’s nieces. Zachary’s mother is single and only works part time utilizing her income to help the children. Zachary’s dad is a 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran.
There are so many unexpected expenses the family must anticipate. The family all live in Arkansas, Illinois, and Indiana, far away from Texas. They need to have his remains shipped back home, arrange for the funeral, may have to make several trips to Texas for court appearances, etc. And then there are the expenses associated with a court case, which could last for quite a while. Think about what it costs for travel, hotels, rental cars, restaurants etc. As you can imagine, the Rockwell family will incur significant expenses during this process, so any donations towards this cause are greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, expressions of support, prayers and kindness are just as important!
The Rockwell family thanks the many friends and family who have reached out to support them through this difficult time. The outpouring of love and encouragement has been overwhelmingly touching and instrumental in aiding the family through this unspeakable horror.
