The time has come !!!!
October 19th Dad and I will be climbing Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa... 6000M UP !
Hiking for 8 days, we will experience various climatic zones through the rainforest, to desert-like terrains and up to the ice peaked summit.
We ask for your support to help us raise money for three extraordinary charities which mean a lot to us.
- Jacks Goal
Jack lost his nine year battle with a brain tumour shortly after his 10th birthday. Jack D’Lima’s family and friends set up Jack’s Goal in partnership with Ali’s Dream where all money raised supports research into discovering the causes, advancing treatments and finding a cure for childhood brain tumours.
- The Child Brain Injury Trust
A leading voluntary sector organisation providing emotional and practical support, information and learning opportunities for families and professionals affected by childhood acquired brain injury across the UK.
- Antonia’s Friends
Antonia Thomas was just 10 years old when she died suddenly from an asthma attack in October 2010. Antonia’s Friends is a charitable trust that celebrates Antonia’s life, carrying her spirit forward, supporting young people with grants and other activities to overcome their own personal challenges through education and opportunity in their formative years.
