Peace for Anne

Dear Family and Friends,

We have started this fundraising effort for Anne McDonald, our dear friend and mother of our nephew Brendan. Using this platform, it is our hope to raise funds that will be invaluable in helping to pay for her funeral expenses, bills that are due and most of all to give her son Brendan a head start while beginning a life without his mother to look after him. Anne, like many hard working people during these trying times has no life insurance and no savings, so please take a few minutes to read Anne’s story. Please know that any contribution, large or small, will be appreciated beyond words. For those of you who are unable to help financially, please keep Anne in your prayers that she will pass into eternal life in peace.

This is Anne McDonalds Story:  On September 3rd, 2014 Anne was driving an elderly friend to the doctor when she was hit from behind by another vehicle. She didn’t expect to be injured that day.  More than that, she never expected that the hospital who examined her that day would find the cancer that would force her to say goodbye to her son sooner than she expected.  She thinks about what her son will be facing at the end of the next few weeks that the doctors tell her she has left; The cost for a funeral, wake and burial services as well as the medical bills which have incurred that a junior in high school cannot pay.  She knows that if the house is sold, it will only just about cover the mortgage and taxes.  She thinks about her son Brendan having to figure out how to finish high school and how to make his way in the world without her.  Her great hope is that he is able to do that without the burden of starting his journey carrying the weight of funeral costs and medical bills.　 With no other avenues open to her, she is left to ask for help from people she doesn’t know and will never know, to help her son on his way.  She thanks you more than words can express for any help you can provide.　 Thank you for listening to Anne’s story.
