Sara's Mission Trip to Kenya

Hiii friends and family!!!
I am so so excited to share with all of y'all that I will be returning to one of my favorite places in the world this summer, KENYA!!!! I will be spending a month in a small town called Kijabe interning at a school and loving on tons of kids, which are two of my favorite things!! Kijabe is the same town we stayed in last summer, and hopefully I will see some familiar faces as we work with some of the same kids! I am returning with Love Africa Missions again as well as one of my best friends, Carly! We are planning on being in Kenya from around May 15th-June 15th!
After our amazing experience last summer, Carly and I knew we would do anything to return Kenya as soon as we could. We were so excited when this trip fell into our hands just a couple weeks ago, and we could not be more thankful for God's plan and the way he wants to use us.
One of the main reasons I want to return to Kenya is because of the indescribable joy everyone has there. It is impossible to not smile when you are surrounded by so much joy. Everywhere you go people are so giving and generous. There were many places where families barely had enough food on the table for themselves, let alone for an extra person, however they would offer food to anyone because they know Jesus will always provide. This was so incredible to see how much faith they had in the Lord, and it was a great reminder to not take anything for granted. Going into my trip last summer, I felt like I would be teaching the people I encountered more about Jesus, however at the end of the trip I think I learned way more from them than they did from me. It was the most amazing experience of my life, and I want everyone to be able to experience that indescribable joy.
As I travel back to Africa this summer, I just ask for your prayers that the Lord will use me in so many different ways. I also ask that you pray for our safety as we serve in Kijabe. I feel so blessed that I was able to have this amazing experience last summer and have the opportunity to go again. I know that God calls all of us to serve in different ways whether it's through spiritual support or financial support, and I want anyone who feels called to be a part of my mission.
