Kurt Wallace's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
We are raising money to help off set my dad's increasing medical expenses. In May, my dad Kurt went and had a colonoscopy done. During the procedure, the doctors found a large mass in the sigmoid portion of his colon. They took biopsies to be tested for cancer. A week later Kurt was going back to the doctors to get his test results and they were inconclusive due to them being contaminated. So the doctor scheduled him for another colonoscopy and the results were still inconclusive.  The doctors then scheduled him for a colon resection surgery to remove his mass, and then get it retested for cancer. While all this is going on, Kurt also had an injury to his knee that caused an arthritis spur to break off and float around in his knee.  Kurt was first put in a knee brace and told not to work. It took the doctors around 4 weeks before the decided to scope his knee. This surgery cause him to be laid up for another two to three weeks without work. Once Kurt was cleared to go back to work, he was only able to work for about two and a half weeks before he had to go in for his colon surgery. Kurt went into the hospital on August 20th for his colon resection surgery. The surgery went fine and he ended up staying in the hospital for a week.  He was discharged to go home. On September 3rd, he went in go his regular doctors to have a post surgery check up and the doctor said he was losing too much blood and she sent him to the ER. While in the hospital he ended up having another colonoscopy to try and find the bleed and ended up receiving nine units of blood. Once the bleeding was under control, they discharged him to see if he would heal on his own. Kurt was home for about five days before he ended up bleeding out at home. On September 19th, Kurt was taken by ambulance to the local hospital and then air-lifted to Avera in Sioux Falls. The doctors finally discovered where his bleeding was coming from and fixed it. Kurt is now, finally home and healing with his family.

Since May Kurt has had:
-Three colonoscopies
-Two ER visits
-One knee scope
-One colon resection surgery
-Many hospital/doctors visits

Kurt has spent a total of 27 days in the hospital this summer. Please help Kurt and his family with the many bills they have.Kurt was let go from his job due to missing so many days. So anything helps!
