I am 36 years old and have been suffering from ovarian cancer, we have recently found out that it has spread. I have been diabetic for 16 years. It has gotten worse and completely uncontrollable for the last 5 years. I was diagnosed as a type 2 brittle diabetic. I have recently found out through testing (that I have never had) that I am actually a type 1 diabetic with an A1C of 14.2%. Which is dangerously high. So I have been being treated for the wrong diabetes this whole time, which is why I have not been able to have to proper surgeries I need to take care of this. My Insulin alone cost over $700 a month. I take 5 shots a day with two different insulin’s. That does not include the multiple other medications I take and need. The diabetes along with chemo and radiation has damaged my kidney as well as other organs. This has taken a huge impact of my family physically emotionally and financially. I have 6 children and the struggle is a lot of stress on the entire family. Any little thing can help, even if just a share or a prayer. God bless you all.
