Aloha,
We are reaching out to give a fantastic update and to continue our celebration of Kumu Kauai'iki, our beloved friend, teacher, Hawaiian cultural practitioner, local historian & ha'imo'olelo (storyteller), a true emodiment of the spirit of Aloha.
Through the expression of love, pule, collaboration and unity, our extraordinary community has manifested a loving gift that will significantly ease Kumu's journey. Mahalo nui loa to the many generous hands that helped bring this dream into fruition. The strong bonds of community ignite the heart with endless possibilities.
Kumu and the canine 'ohana now have a hale on wheels!!! A beautiful Kekaha sunset provided the perfect moment to present Kumu with our gift. This Dodge Caravan with a retrofitted interior provides dependable transportation perfect for Kumu's outdoor lifestyle. This van also supports Kumu's healing and ability to bring unique gifts island-wide. Kauai'iki was clearly touched by our kokua, as you can see from the video and pictures.

While Kumu is on the road to recovery there are still additional ways to support. Kumu welcomes continued donations and assistance, with a specific invitation for occasional nursing assistance.
