Kuiper Family's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Kristen Kuiper, an 8th grader at Spirit Lake Middle School, woke up the morning of December 7th and had no feeling in her hands or arms. When they took her to the ER in Spirit Lake she started having trouble breathing and wasn't able to move her entire upper body. She was taken by helicopter to Avera McKennan Pediatric ICU in Sioux Falls, SD, where she lost mobility in her arms and legs and was put on a ventilator to help her breathe. With the sedation, breathing tube, and feeding tube she is only able to communicate by answering yes or no questions by shaking her head.
After every test you can think of (MRI, Cat Scan, Angiogram, and ultra sound of her heart) the doctors said she had a stroke. They are continuing to gather information by performing several tests.
If you are able to help this family, it would be greatly appreciated, if not, please keep Kristen and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
All donations will go directly to the Kuiper family for medical expenses.
