This page was set up to help Mike Drew, his fiancé Danielle Glaspie and their three children.
February 24th this family's life was turned upside down. Mike finally went to the emergency room after weeks of not feeling well. When they got to the hospital they suspected he had fluid around his heart and he was then transferred to another hospital. After the tests were done it was determined that he had an infection growing on and around his heart, which was causing his heart to swell. They rushed him to Allegheny General and a few hours after he arrived, he coded. They resuscitated him. He coded 3 more times before surgery, each time taking longer to bring him back.
They did an emergency heart surgery on Thursday, and he has since then, been hooked up to machines that are pumping his heart and lungs and keeping him alive. He is in complete organ failure, and has lost all circulation to his legs and as of now, has no brain activity. If he wakes up, he will lose both of his legs. But the doctors aren't giving up and neither is his fiancé Danielle!
But I'm sure as you know, whatever happens this is going to be a very long and difficult time for their family. With Mike being the sole provider for their family, they need all the financial support they can get right now; with hospital expenses and bills.
