KSI Covid Restart Campaign

 

Thank you for reading about our campaign.  We started this fundraising effort in early June when we were learning about what we needed to do to reopen KSI after Covid.  Since then, we learned more.


We knew in June that the spread of Covid happens through touch, so our clients could no longer share community things like puzzles, crayons, colored pencils, etc., and we knew we had to provide each person with their own supplies.  We decided supplying a plastic box with their name on it filled with their own supplies was just the ticket!

 

We recently learned that some clients with compromised immune systems or other reasons cannot come back to our facility at this time.  Always adapting, KSI will soon be providing these clients services virtually, and we want to supply them with the supplies needed to safely participate from home.

 

We need 200 of the Client Activity Boxes, and each box costs $18  -  that’s $3600.  As of 8/27/2020, we received $1040 from this Go Fund Me link and another $1126 in donations made directly to KSI to sponsor the boxes.  We are so excited and thankful for all the donations, but we are still $1434 away from the total goal.

KSI provides Life Enrichment, Pre-Vocational and Placement Employment Services to people with developmental disABILITIES.  Our Explore Program is designed for the needs of our Traumatic Brain Injury clients. KSI’s quality services are provided in both the community, in our Skill Development Center, and soon virtually.
