Kristen's Watoto 360 Fund

Hi Everyone!

I want to share with you an exciting adventure God has called me to embark on. Over the past year I have grown tremendously in my faith through the opportunity of serving with Watoto Child Care Ministry. What a blessing to be working for a ministry that is truly living out Gods word, caring for the widows and orphans and really making a lasting impact that will forever change Africa. (James 1:27)

As a result of serving in this ministry, I have personally seen the transformation in children's lives. These experiences have stirred a fire inside and given me a servant's heart to truly experience what Watoto is about in every way. I believe that God has been preparing me for such a time as this to simply go there to love and take care of the people of Uganda. Next January I have the privilege to join this ministry overseas in a 6 month program called "Watoto 360." While serving there I will get to grow personally in my walk with the Lord through this structured discipleship training course throughout various parts of Watoto as well as within the Ugandan community. Additionally, after I have completed the program I will be staying an additional month to work at our Babies Home, "Baby Watoto".

Watoto (www.watoto.com) is currently caring for 3,000 AIDS orphans in Uganda in a holistic home environment (each residence is home to one house mother and eight children). The AIDS crisis has left many children orphaned and wandering the streets looking for food and shelter. Watoto is doing everything they can in Uganda to rescue these children and give them the love, education, and support they need to become future Ugandan leaders. Watoto has and will continue to build homes, schools, and medical clinics for the orphaned children of Uganda. Many of these same children have gone on to attend Universities, which is proof that the Watoto way is working.

Will you prayerfully consider helping me be the hands and feet of Jesus for this wonderful ministry? I know this experience will be life changing for me and hopefully for those whose lives I touch as well. Any help you would be willing to give would be a blessing. I will need the majority of my funds by October. Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, all of your support is appreciated.
