Kristen needs our help!

Kristen is an amazing mother, daughter, sister, friend and teacher making the world a better place every day.  Single mom of two beautiful kids age 1 and 5 and an elementary art teacher she breathes life, love and beauty into everything she does.  Four courses away from her MA in Education Kristen is poised to positively impact so many children’s lives, but she is currently experiencing a critical setback.

Kristen has been battling a rare autoimmune disease where her body creates benign tumors on her nerves and she is in constant pain and experiences significantly reduced function in her right arm.  This coupled with migraines, degenerative disk disease, and unsolved heart issues means her health is seriously compromised.  She has been managing her conditions while parenting, teaching, and in school- then this weekend she experienced an out-of-the-blue painful complete paralysis of her left arm. Kristen faces a long road to recovery and likely 24-7 assistance and care for herself and her children for some time to come.  She is surrounded by loving family and we are helping as much as we can, though not to the full extent of what she needs.  Medical bills, therapies, rehabilitation, and child-care costs are significant.
