On the 9th October 2018 Stephen Davies world came crashing down with the diagnosis of Oesophageal Cancer at the age of 36, a Helicopter Pilot with the world at his feet.
The diagnosis came from months of suffering reflux and visiting doctors to get to the bottom of the problem.
After the news, Steve and Zoe along with their son Sonny decided to pack up their lives in Darwin and move home to Mandurah to commence Chemotherapy in Rockingham with the support of their close family.
Once 5 rounds of Chemotherapy was completed, they flew to Brisbane for a full Esophagectomy surgery for a chance to remove the tumor completely. After the surgery, the days were long and the nights were even longer as Steve had to learn to eat, talk and swallow with his newly created oesophagus.
As he gained his strength and his health, he was released from hospital and made their way back to Mandurah to finish the final stage of Chemotherapy. The end was in sight.
All of these plans came to a grinding holt on May 1st as Steve was delivered the devastating news his recent PET scan showed lesions on his lung and liver, proving that he was now Terminal.
Steve has sought out a treatment centre in America, where he will be flying to on the 4th May to be hopefully accepted into a clinical trial to give him a miracle that he deserves.
Steve has many reasons to survive this, they include his soul mate and wife Zoe who desperately needs him and adores him so very much.
His little boy Sonny who is only 3, who totally idolises him and loves him to pieces.
And lastly but not least his unborn baby girl who is due in 5 weeks and needs her Daddy to watch her grow.
We are asking for any little or big donation you can give to support them as a family and afford Steve the very best treatments available to him.
