Support Korben's Medical Journey

Korben James Smith was born at 34 weeks and 4 days on May 17th 2018. He was in the Special Birthing Unit at Olmsted Medical Center to receive help with breathing and other needs until he could do them on his own. The amazing team there then determined something more was wrong and diagnosed him with Esophageal Fistula (EA) and he was then transfered to the NICU at St. Mary's at the age of one day old.

Esophageal Fistula (EA) Type A means that the esophagus did not fully develop and there is no connection to the stomach. This puts Korben at high risk for choking even on normal salivary secretions, because everything just builds up and has nowhere to go.

Due to this condition along with the other health conditions that have and will arise he has undergone one surgery already. He will continue to have more surgeries as he grows. He has and will continue to have other medical expenses on top of the surgery expenses.

We are asking  for money donations to help Emily, Darrell, and kids with medical expenses, general bills, and other expenses that might arise due to taking time off to care for Korben.
