Koens' Home Recovery Fund

Hi friends! It's been a hard two years. Karen has had a successful eighteen month fight against breast cancer after her 2012 diagnosis, Bill has recovered from his disc injury after hobbling around for several months and after some physical therapy, and Matthew has recovered from his auto accident in May 2014 nicely. But all those medical bills have strained our resources, and now this:
On the night of the 30th of December, a tree came down on our house. Thank the Lord, no one was hurt, but the damage to the house was extensive: the master bedroom was totalled, the side porch was basically destroyed, and several other holes were knocked in the roof. And due to our personal and financial struggles, we let the insurance on our home lapse.
So we are asking for your help in raising funds to save our home while we explore our legal and other possibilities. An estimate to repair the roof and bedroom alone was over $25,000, disregarding the porch damage, and our emergency funds have been seriously depleted in the last few years.
