Koda's Eye Surgery Fund

Donation protected
Six months ago our 7 year old dog Koda had to have his right eye removed due to glaucoma that had compromised his vision, eventually leading to pain and blindness. This procedure had to be done at the nearest Canine Ophthalmologist and for us that was in the twin cities over 4 and a half hours away. This procedure required a consult, then procedure, and then a follow up the next week. After a total of 3 trips to the cities and medical bills, the experience cost us almost $2,000 which we just recently finished paying off.

At the time of his procedure, they tested his good eye and gave us the unfortunate news that his left eye show indicators of glaucoma as well. They said it could happen in a week, a month, a year, who knows. Well it turns out it only took 6 months for Glaucoma to take his other eye. Koda now is almost 100% blind and experiencing extreme pressure that keeps him in constant pain. His next surgery is scheduled for Monday November 16th in Golden Valley, MN with a follow up the following week.

We are asking for help to cover the medical costs and travel as Jaci and I are finding ourselves in a tight spot as Jaci is a stay at home mom due to the costs of day care and finding ourselves with one income. This is an expense that is just going to hit us at a hard time leading into the holidays. We would appreciate anything anyone can do to help with this procedure to give Koda an easy transition into entering the second half of his life blind.

Thank you and god bless!
