Kobriger Family Cancer Support

Caleb Kobriger was diagnosed with a brain tumor during the 2016 holiday season. Surgery on December 23rd revealed Germinoma, a tumor located deep within the brain, near areas that control vital functions. A biopsy was performed on the tumor, but it couldn't be removed in it's entirety.

Within days of the first surgery, another was needed to reduce fluid buildup in the brain. The pressure was causing severe, debilitating symptoms. Luckily, the stent placement helped enough for his induced sedation to be ceased. 

Caleb's treatment plan includes at least 4 months of chemotherapy followed by 6 weeks of radiation. This will be life altering for the Kobriger family. They’ll have many appointments, labs, possible inpatient stays, infusions & frequent meetings with specialists. He'll be homeschooled during treatment. 

The cost of cancer is staggering. Preparing a home for weakened immune system precautions is costly & not covered by insurance. The new year will bring new medical bills because of resetting deductibles.
