On behalf of Kobi and Kaysy's family, we are writing to thank everyone for their generous donations. After GFM admin fees, we raised just over $70,000!

Your kind gifts have enabled us to contribute $12,000 towards Kaysy's beautiful and special memorial in Australia, a portion of Kaysy's family's travel expenses in Australia, the repatriation of Kaysy’s belongings and other expenses and a portion for a memorial for Kaysy's family and friends in Germany.

The funds for Kaysys's family will be transferred to Kaysy’s mother, Romana Muhr.

The remainder of the funds will contribute toward Kobi's considerable medical bills and expenses during his recovery.

Once again, thank you so very much for all your kind support during this difficult time. Your generosity will make a huge difference to Kobi's recovery.

Thanking you on behalf of Kobi and Kaysy's family.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Our small, tight-knit community of Pittwater was struck deep in our heart this week with a horrific, tragic accident that resulted in beautiful young Kaysy leaving us and the love of her life Kobi Bennett in hospital with significant injuries.

Kobi and Kaysy, a couple of young boating enthusiasts, bonded over their love of the water and boats while carving their path and living out their dreams.

Kobi, a talented apprentice Shipwright with a beautiful soul, is a fun, determined, big-hearted young man. Kobi has earned the respect of his community off his own back, always offering to lend a hand, from carrying groceries to the top of Scotland Island to pumping out a sinking boat. Kobi always raises his hand and will show up for anyone in his community who needs help.

Now is the time we need to give all the love and support we can muster to Kobi, the beneficary of your donations.

So please dig deep to help rebuild his life in whatever needs to be done to give him a brighter future in this dark chapter of his young life. We anticipate Kobi’s medical bills, rehabilitation, mental health program and living expenses while unable to work, a replacement boat for transport and anything Kobi requires to help him get back on his feet and look after his wellbeing.

A portion of the funds raised will be attributed to Kaysy’s family to produce a memorial and for their travel expenses to Australia or any required repatriation for Kaysy. The amount decided will be in consultation with Kobi and her family.

Our hearts are broken, and Kobi needs us NOW.

Our community appreciates your kindness and generosity.

Thank you.
