Our 3 year old Klee Kai Kobe has been desperately ill with severe pancreatitis and now Oesophagitis. He has spent the last week in the ICU in the Animal Hospital Glasgow and has been looked after so well.
We are responsible dog owners and have insurance for Kobe but our limit was reached before he even got to the hospital in Glasgow. As of today (Saturday 25th) his bill is now around £6000. He is going to need some long term care most probably up at the Glasgow hospital again too.
We would not normally ask for this kind of help but we were encouraged by other owners to seek help from the community.
Any help at all is appreciated. We have had a horrendous week and had to sit our children down and tell them that Kobe may not make it home as he was so unwell. He has begun to eat but nothing at all today. It’s felt that bringing him home for a couple of days to a familiar environment may help so we are picking him up tomorrow. Our challenge is not to get him to eat first of all then take his meds and lastlyto keep the nasty wound on his chin and chest clean and infection free.
We as a family would like to thank everyone for all their words and prayers or hope this last week it has been overwhelming and the support has meant so much.
