Koa's Care Fund

I started this because my close friends dog was accidentally let out of their yard without their knowledge, while they were at familys dealing with a loss.  Sadly he was hit by a vehicle and the person driving didn't stop, or administer aid.  Even after enduring such a tramatic and painful accident, Koa walked himself home to be with his family, limping and in pain.  He sustained a head injury, many scrapes and road rash, a broken tail, and THREE pelvic fractures.  Now my dear friend through no fault of their own have to deal with this tragedy.  The estimate for surgery was $6,000 and beyond what most of us would be able to afford.  Their only other option was to take him home, and hope that through heavy mulitple medications, 24 hour watch and care, LOVE and time that the fracture would heal.  All his internal organs and spine are in perfect condition and his health, given the circumstances is remarkable, which is why putting him to sleep was out of the question.  He has already racked up a large amount of bills just for the x-rays, vet visit, surgical consult, and medication.  We're asking for support to ease the burden of his medical expenses so that his owners and us friends taking care of him can just focus on healing Koa and giving him the attention he needs.
