Brandon's Medical Bills

Brandon Walker recently completed a tour of duty with the United States Air Force in Geospatial Intelligence. He had just enrolled in college full time in order to complete is degree and begin  life as a civilian. On 8 November, 2014, Brandon sustained a catastrophic injury from a fall while visiting friends on Ft. Myers Beach in Florida. Brandon sustained two shattered femurs, two shattered vertebrae, collapsed both lungs and a traumatic brain injury from hypoxia, among others.

The doctors at the time felt Brandon's chances of survival were slim and even then, he was not expected to regain any mobility or cognitive functioning.

Miraculously, Brandon not only survived, he has been able to fight his way back and is currently receiving in-patient care and therapy at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta. Despite all the doctors, Brandon has defied the odds and is fighting his way back.

Unfortunately, the timing of his accident caught him when he was unemployed and thus, not prepared for such a financial burden.  As a family, this has placed a great financial  strain on us and his recovery will be slow and the process of applying for, and receiving, any type of help could take months.

The cost of  hospitalization and associated costs is enormous, as one may imagine, and we are hoping that this will at least take some of the financial strain off as Brandon continues to recover.
