A Man Known By Many & Loved By All

As I write this, I am doing it for Donna, Bill's wonderful wife.

Bill worked as a police officer most of his life. His most recent employment included being a security officer the Children's Hospital of St. Louis for over 10 years. He worked overnights, and loved his line of work. He never missed work, always working hard to provide for his family and to be able to help them in any way possible. A true inspiration to what it means to be a good husband, father, grandpa and overall friend when in need. He would give the shirt off of his back, and now it is time to give him the help he has given to so many.

2 weeks ago, he had fallen asleep at work. Is this his character? No, most definitely not. The hospital sent him home, with no regard to call and check on him, or inform him if he still had employment. He then finally got the dreaded phone call, of telling him to bring in his gear. He was devastated as well as his family, but this wasn't the worse of it.

The next morning, his wife found him on the floor, not able to speak or move. She called the ambulance who came right away. They then found out he had a stroke and a brain bleed which has left him paralyzed on his left side. Of all those terrible things, he also has a brain tumor.

At his age and condition, there are no other options but to let nature take its course. With the little conversation he is able to have and words his family can make out, he worries for his family. Who will take care of his wife, and help those he loves if they need it? While Donna is most concerned for her husband and spending every moment possible with him in this time, she does not know how to have income to pay the hospital bills and even the funeral costs when the time comes. How can she also now provide for herself since her husband was her main source of income? The hospital has also dropped all of their insurance since the termination.

If you could have it in your heart to help this wonderful family who has helped so many others, they would appreciate it greatly. No donation is too small, and if you can not donate please just say a prayer. They are now on God's time.
