Emily’s Fight

17 year old Emily Faith Connell has been focusing on finishing her senior year of high school and starting her college career until she received devastating news. Emily has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. “Hodgkin lymphoma (Hodgkin disease) is a cancer that starts in white blood cells called lymphocytes. Lymphocytes are part of the body’s immune system.” - American cancer society

Sadly, money set aside for schooling will be used for medical costs. This diagnosis has shifted their priorities towards treatments, testing and needed medical assistance so she can transition into her adult life happy, healthy and cancer free.

Emily has faced too much hardship for her age. Emily’s mother passed away last year and now they are learning to handle another devastating obstacle beyond their control. She is choosing to stay optimistic despite her battles. She is a fighter. 

This fundraiser is created to help take some of the stress off her family so they can focus on staying strong for her as she undergoes treatments. Travel, supplies, time off work, etc. all adds up.
