Knee surgery for Fisher

Hi my name is Roy and my baby girl Fisher is in need of knee surgery. A month and a half ago she was out running at my parents and stopped abruptly to come back to me when I called her. As she came limping back, not putting weight on her back foot, I knew something was wrong. After taking her to the vet that next day they told me she had torn what is essentially a dogs ACL. They suggested two options, surgery or confinement, saying with small dogs sometimes confinement will work. They quoted $2500 for the surgery and I didn’t have the money so I opted to try confinement. It was rough for her at the start, and after almost two months she is still not putting weight on it and it seems that the confinement is not going anywhere. If I am able to afford the surgery, she will be getting it ASAP I want her to be able to run and play as much as a healthy dog should and I hate to see her hobble around when she is an otherwise healthy girl.
