Hope for Harper

Donation protected
Tanya Deemer's dog Harper was recently diagnosed with a spine injury, which can result in paralysis. Surgery is expensive, but can often result in a full recovery.

Harper is now suffering decreased leg function in both of his rear legs. Our saving grace is that he still has bowel/bladder function. If that goes, we have a 24 hour window to operate. When he is awake he shakes and pants consistently due to the pain. The Dr. is telling Tanya that he has 3 calcified discs and they will all need to be removed.

The latest quote for the MRI, Surgery & Post Op care is $7-8000. Significantly more than she was originally quoted. If there are other options that anyone knows of, she wants to hear about them. The doctor has clearly recommended surgery. The neurosurgeons have declined a payment plan, which means all of this must be paid up front. Her plan is to visit all 3 neurosurgeons in person tomorrow to plead her case and show them these fundraising efforts and ask them if a downpayment would be enough to get them to reconsider the rest of the balance on a payment plan.

Tanya moved to California to start her new life and was immediately hit with Harper's very serious injury, mounting medical bills for him - she's facing this alone, in a new town. Let's show our support for her by helping her from far away. You can help by donating to Harper's cause to help cover some of his medical bills.
