Funeral expenses for Anthony Gesch

They say you’ve known no sorrow until you’ve lost a child, and as I looked down this weekend at my beautiful 17-year son’s lifeless body in a South Florida morgue, I cannot begin to describe the horror and sense of helplessness and outrage I felt.

 

Just two (2) days ago, Anthony was taken from me forever, in a senseless act of violence and cruelty that has decimated my life and the lives of those Anthony leaves behind. Anthony was gunned down in the streets by despicable cowards who left him there to die like he was a dog. I cannot accept the fact that he’s never coming home again.

 

As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, my sons and I, like so many others, have been struggling just to put food on our table, and now, following Anthony’s demise, I must somehow find a way to give him a dignified burial. Funeral costs, at minimum, are obscene and unaffordable for the average person, and I pleading with for friends and the public-at-large to help me do something I never dreamed I’d have to do – put one of my children in the ground.

 

Donations, no matter how small, will be very much appreciated. Donations won’t bring my son back, but they will remind me that there are indeed still kind and decent people out there, unlike the heartless criminals who took my baby’s life and destroyed mine.
